INFORMATION COLLECTED
When completing the Membership Application Form, Members will be asked to provide Nota Bene with their personal details and credit / debit card details. Nota Bene may obtain information about Member’s usage of the Bespoke Service to help it develop and improve it further.
WHAT DO WE USE THE MEMBER’S INFORMATION FOR?
Nota Bene will use the Member’s information for the following purposes:
- to provide the Bespoke Service.
- to handle orders, and process payments and refunds.
- to communicate with the Member about their orders.
- to update Nota Bene records and generally maintain Member’s account with it.
- If the Member contacts Note Bene, it may keep a record of that correspondence and Member’s contact details.
- for Note Bene’s statistical or survey purposes to improve its services to the Member.
- to prevent or detect fraud or abuses of Note Bene’s services and enable third parties to carry out technical, logistical or other functions on its behalf.
- If the Member consents, to notify the Member of products or special offers that may be of interest to the Member.
DIRECT MARKETING
Nota Bene periodically produces publications which may be posted and / or emailed to the Member. If the Member does not wish to receive such publications, the Member should instruct Nota Bene accordingly in writing at: info@notabenetravel.com.
To ensure that the Member maximises its Membership benefits, Nota Bene may send the Member information by post or email on forthcoming promotions, events and such other benefits, offers, products or services which they may be entitled to or interested. If the Member does not wish to receive such information, the Member should instruct Nota Bene accordingly in writing at: info@notabenetravel.com.
Nota Bene may contact the Member to offer services or may contact the Member to seek their opinion on how the Bespoke Services provided may be improved. If the Member does not wish to be contacted in this way, the Member should instruct Nota Bene accordingly in writing at: info@notabenetravel.com.
PROTECTING THE MEMBER’S INFORMATION
Nota Bene uses up-to-date procedures and technology to protect the Member’s personal information. Nota Bene may vary this in the future if it feels the Member will benefit from greater security whilst using the Bespoke Service.
Nota Bene has appropriate security measures in place in its physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that it has collected from the Member.
DISCLOSURE OF MEMBER INFORMATION
Nota Bene will not disclose the Member’s information to any third party except under the following limited circumstances:
- as is required to provide the Bespoke Service (including, to Suppliers).
- in providing the Bespoke Service for the purposes of the prevention and detection of fraud. If the Member believes that its details are incorrect the Member should notify Nota Bene immediately.
- Nota Bene may disclose the Member’s personal information to its service providers who support elements of its Bespoke Service business and process data on Nota Bene’s behalf. These may include businesses who provide technology services such as hosting for Nota Bene’s servers and e-mail distribution. Where such disclosures are made, this will be under the contractual arrangements with Nota Bene and carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Act.
ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION
The Act gives the Members the right to access personal information held about them. The Member’s right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet Nota Bene’s costs in providing the Member with details of the personal information that Nota Bene holds about the Member.
